THE RIGHT LIGHTING FOR A GYM
In a place
like a gym, it is necessary to find the right light to create a comfortable
environment that helps instructors and all those who attend it.
The light,
in an environment like the gym, has an importance that could be underestimated.
In fact, the task of lighting is not to strain your eyes, so you don't need to
have too much artificial light, like white or blue ones, nor should there be
direct points that can be too annoying. The right light for a gym must be warm
and indirect, and above all uniform. In fact, by creating more illuminated points
and shadow points, the eye may become unnecessarily fatigued. If the gym is
composed of a single room the ideal is the use of led ceiling lights conical in
shape that projects light towards the floor. These must be placed above the
tools, at least once every two. Beyond the lights, mirrors must also be chosen
which have the function of further illuminating the room and allowing the
athlete to check that his movements are correct. So the lights should never be
aimed at the mirrors.
Wall
lighting on the ceiling is widely used. Warm light LEDs are installed which are
durable and allow better light to be projected and above all in a uniform
manner. The room where the fitness takes place should also have large windows
so that natural lighting can be used throughout the day. The LED lights must
all have the same intensity and be of the same color, otherwise, the view would
be fatigued and could also cause numerous annoyances to the sportsmen.
In rooms
where more relaxing exercises take place it is advisable to have a more
diffused light and to create a soft environment to allow those who practice
certain exercises such as yoga and Pilates not to be disturbed by light. If the
gym is made up of several rooms it is necessary that even in this case the
lighting is uniform, preferring in all parts the same warm tone and the same
type of lighting. In this way, an optimal environment is created to relax and
train both the body and the mind. In fact, according to some studies the body
trains better and the exercises are more effective when there are all the
optimal conditions. Putting sight under strain means fatigue too much your body
which is forced to get used even to not exactly optimal conditions.
There are
regulations that establish which lights should be the best for environments
such as gyms or halls where sports are practiced.
